ECHL announces Season-Ending Rosters
The ECHL on Tuesday announced the Season-Ending Rosters as submitted by each of its Member Teams. Season-Ending Rosters may include up to 20 players. Season-Ending Rosters cannot include any players who did not sign an ECHL contract in 2025-26. Each team is entitled to reserve rights to a maximum of eight players from the list of 20 by extending a qualifying offer no later than 11:59 p.m. ET on July 7. Campbell signs three-year deal to coach Senators
Andrew Campbell has signed a three-year contract to remain head coach of the AHL’s Belleville Senators. Campbell joined the Senators organization as an assistant coach in 2024-25 and was elevated to interim head coach on Dec. 17, 2025. He guided Belleville to a record of 17-21-5-1 in 44 games. The Caledonia, Ont., native previously spent three seasons as an assistant in the Ontario Hockey League with the Hamilton/Brantford Bulldogs, working alongside current Belleville GM Matt Turek, Ottawa GM Steve Staios and Senators owner Michael Andlauer, and won an OHL title in 2022. Babcock hired as Oilers coach, replaces Knoblauch
Mike Babcock was hired as coach of the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday. The 63-year-old replaces Kris Knoblauch, who was fired May 14 after three seasons and two appearances in the Stanley Cup Final. Babcock has not coached in the NHL since resigning from the Columbus Blue Jackets prior to the 2023-24 season.
