Playoff Game of the Day: Komets stave off elimination

Down to their last game of the season the Fort Wayne used two power play goals to stave off elimination and set up a game in Port Huron on Saturday.

The Komets rebounded from a lackluster Game 5 by jumping out to a 2-0 lead after the first two periods. Mathieu Curadeau started the scoring when he handled a behind-the-net pass from Konstantin Shafranov in the slot and defeated Port Huron netminder Larry Sterling. P.C. Drouin raised the ante when his slap shot late in the second period widened the lead.
