WORCHESTER, MA – The Boston College Eagles and the Yale Bulldogs move on to Sunday’s final in the Northeast Regional with wins over Alaska and North Dakota respectably. The Eagles won 3-1 while the Bulldogs had to hang on for a 3-2 victory.

Here is a brief review of each game.

BC vs Alaska

Pat Mullane’s goal at the 3:46 mark of the third period turned out to be the difference in a two goal third period by the Eagles ending the Nanooks season and send BC into the regional finals. Alaska played a solid game but BC took the game over in the second and third periods with some solid play by goaltender John Muse who made 28 saves on 29 shots.

North Dakota vs Yale

After getting out to a surprising 3-0 lead after two periods, the Fighting Sioux came back with two goals in the third but it just wasn’t enough as Yale held on for the victory. Denny Kearney, scored twice for Yale and Mark Arcobello added the game winner near the end of the second period for what looked like a commanding 3-0 lead, but the Sioux fought back with 18 shots in the third and peppered Yale goaltender Bradley Eidsness but the Bulldogs held on for dear life to head into Sundays regional finals.

Sundays game is slated for a 5:30 start.
