MANCHESTER, UK - MANCHESTER Phoenix look set to unveil their first overseas forward for the forthcoming English Premier League Ice Hockey season. Sources close to the club have suggested the player could be a seasoned goal scorer with European experience. Phoenix have long been linked with former fan favourite Joe Tallari who scored more than 80 points for the club in 2007/08. The 29-year-old left the club to pusue a career in Italian hockey so he could ice for the national side. He was reportedly offered a contract last season, but opted to stay with Eppan Pirats Internorm telling the author at the time he was “very interested in returning to the UK in the future”.
