Just what is the biggest rivalry in Europe?
Is it from the UK or Germany or somewhere else?

NOTTINGHAM, UK - Since the outspoken and controversial Sheffield Steelers PR officer David Simms uttered the immortal line of "Sheffield V Nottingham is the biggest rivalry in Europe" many have been quick to point out the error of that statement and claim 'their' rivalry is bigger than that of the Steelers and Panthers.

Recently a vociferous member of the Nottingham fanbase, Jono, took in a couple of games in the DEL and has documented the differences between the two leagues, both in terms of production and intensity.

He has written a blog all about his weekend watching the DEL and how it compares to the UK and the hatred between his team, Nottingham Panthers, and bitter rivals Sheffield Steelers.

You can find his blog here - Prohockeynews is not responsible for the content of external sites.

It is written from the heart and with passion, but is also objective as to what the future should be for Nottingham and Sheffield as their encounters continue into next season and beyond.

Prohockeynews.com would like to thank Jono for allowing us to link to his blog.
