GWINNETT, Ga - The newly announced 2010-2011 ECHL schedule has the Gwinnett Gladiators opening their eighth season of play on the road, against South Division rival Florida. The club's home opener is set to feature a match up against the South Carolina Stingrays on October 22. This marks the first time, since the 2007-2008 season that the Gladiators open the season on the road.

As in the past, ECHL teams will play a 72 game regular season schedule, starting in October 2010, with an even 36 home and 36 away games. Of the 36 home games in the 2010-2011 season, 27 games are on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Gladiator home games during the week and on Saturday will start at 7:05 p.m., Friday games start at 7:35 p.m., and Sunday games start at 4:05 p.m. The Gladiators annual MLK Kids Day game will start at 12:30 p.m. and will match Gwinnett with the South Carolina Stingrays.

In addition to hosting South Division rivals, Gwinnett will welcome the Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones, the Toledo Walleye, the Wheeling Nailers, the Reading Royals, and the Trenton Devils. With the exception of Toledo, Gwinnett will visit the cities above, Elmira, Kalamazoo, and of course the team's South Division rivals.

The schedule is set and the ice will be ready inside the arena at Gwinnett Center for the Gladiators to drop the puck on yet another season of hockey; a season that will hopefully end with yet another appearance in the post-season.
