and Rio Grande Valley since our last poll, the Jackalopes’ remain in first place in the league with no hint of letting up on their juggernaut quest for the Governor’s and President’s Cup’s.

The battle for supremacy in the Northern Conference took a beneficial turn for the Rapid City Rush, who has taken a two point lead over the Colorado Eagles with a 6-1 win over the Allen Americans and two straight against the Amarillo Gorillas. The Eagles earned a pair of one-point home victories over the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs and hold a narrow lead over the Rush for the top slot in the power rankings.

The Allen Americans and the Texas Brahmas round out the fourth and fifth spots in the power rankings. Allen remains in second place in the Southern Conference standings with a nine-point edge over the Brahmas who have maintained their hold on third place. Laredo still holds the number four spot in the conference but Corpus Christi, Rio Grande Valley and Amarillo are on their heels jockeying for a playoff berth.
